Reading Your Fitting Recommendation

How to interpret your fitting recommendation.

Once StickFitter has enough information to generate a recommendation, you'll see a full club-by-club breakdown appear in the right panel under Future Bag. Here's how to read it.

What each recommendation shows

For every recommended club, you'll see:

  • Club type and position (Driver, 7-iron, 56° wedge, etc.)

  • Head: Manufacturer and model (e.g., "TaylorMade Qi10")

  • Shaft: Manufacturer, model, and flex (e.g., "Fujikura Ventus Blue 6-S")

  • Length offset: Standard, +0.5", -0.25", etc.

  • Lie angle: Standard, 1° upright, 2° flat, etc. Only shown if non-standard.

  • Grip: Manufacturer, model, and size (e.g., "Golf Pride Tour Velvet Midsize")

  • Price range: A realistic market range for the club (e.g., "$450-$550")

  • Buy links: Where to purchase

Buy links explained

Under each recommendation, you'll see several retailer chips. By default, we show the top 3 options and let you expand for more:

New clubs:

  • Manufacturer direct site (when available)

  • Golf Galaxy

  • PGA Tour Superstore

  • TGW

  • Amazon

  • Rock Bottom Golf

Used / pre-owned:

  • 2nd Swing

  • Global Golf

  • eBay

Each link takes you to a search for that specific head or shaft on the retailer's site. Results aren't guaranteed - models go in and out of stock - but the search is pre-filled and ready to browse.

Price ranges

Price ranges reflect current market rates and include both new and (where noted) pre-owned options. If you want to stay in a specific budget, tell us "Can you keep the irons under $700?" and the recommendation will adjust.

Specs mean the clubs should be built this way

If the recommendation says "+0.5" length, 1° upright lie, Midsize grip," it means those specs should be dialed in when you buy. Most major retailers will build clubs to spec at purchase for free or a small fee. If you're buying pre-owned, a local golf shop can typically adjust length, lie, and grip for a modest per-club fee.

Refining the recommendation

The Future Bag is a starting point, not a locked-in verdict. You can keep the conversation going:

  • "Show me something more forgiving"

  • "I'd prefer a forged iron feel"

  • "Can you pick a quieter driver?"

  • "What if budget was $2000 total?"

Every adjustment updates the Future Bag in place.
